Join our vibrant art community as an Art Gallery Coordinator, where your enthusiasm for art and culture will help create an engaging and welcoming environment for visitors, artists, and educators alike. In this paid role, you will support the operations of the gallery, and assist with educational programs. Your passion for arts education, experience with museum practices, and strong organizational skills will be essential in helping us inspire and connect audiences with compelling art. Candidates must live within a 45-minute commute to our campus in Loveladies, LBI. This position is not remote. Salary is commensurate with experience. Duties Install and de-install art exhibition; pack and ship artwork; catalog artwork. (Proficiency in art handling practices) Coordinate exhibition setup and takedown, including object care and installation logistics. Assist with the care, cataloging, and documentation of art online, in print, and inhouse. Proficiency with graphics for various projects in online : website, social media, marketing, advertisements. Adobe Suite:
InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator is highly desirable. Support a variety of art educational programs Administration and clerical (Proficiency in MS Office Suite) Provide excellent customer service by answering inquiries in person or via phone/email with professionalism and enthusiasm Welcome visitors, provide information about current exhibitions, and ensure a positive experience for all guests Support sales of artwork Support team management tasks such as scheduling staff or volunteers for gallery events and programs. Qualifications BFA is a minimum requirement. MFA degree is an asset. A Graphic Design, Photography, Digital Media, and/or Marketing skill set is an asset. Proven experience working in museums, galleries, or nonprofit arts organizations with knowledge of collection management practices Excellent communication skills, and writing skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Familiarity with social media management tools for content creation and outreach campaigns Ability to handle object care responsibly while maintaining attention to detail in cataloging and preservation tasks. Organizational skills necessary for managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines. ARTS EDUCATION.
