Job Description
Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail store, inspiring students of all ages and skill levels. You'll develop customized lesson plans, teach fundamental through advanced techniques, prepare students for performances and school programs, and track progress. Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and repair referrals. Ideal candidates have strong performance or teaching experience, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to music education and community engagement. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop and follow individualized lesson plans aligned with student goals Teach music fundamentals, technique, repertoire, and music reading Prepare students for recitals, school performances, and auditions Assess and track student progress and communicate with parents or guardians Maintain an organized, safe, and welcoming studio environment Collaborate with store staff to support instrument rentals, sales, and repairs Promote lesson programs and support student retention Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Music theory Instrument or vocal performance Student assessment Classroom/studio management Communication with parents Basic sales support for rentals and accessories Repertoire selection Time management
