Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Guitar Music Teacher to deliver high quality private and group instruction in our retail lesson studio. You'll teach students of all ages and skill levels, develop customized lesson plans, prepare students for recitals and performances, and track progress toward musical goals. Partner with store staff to support lesson enrollment, maintain a positive, student focused environment, and represent Music & Arts' commitment to music education and community engagement. Responsibilities Provide private and group guitar lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Create and adapt individualized lesson plans and curricula Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and performances Assess student progress and communicate updates to students and parents Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and lesson records Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment and retention Promote a positive, inclusive, and student-focused learning environment Incorporate proper technique, music theory, and ear training into lessons Recommend instruments, accessories, and materials to support learning Participate in occasional recitals or in-store educational events Required Skills Guitar performance Music theory Ear training Lesson planning Classroom/lesson management Student assessment and progress tracking Communication with students and parents Group instruction techniques Basic sales/support in a retail music environment Time management and scheduling
