Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Violin Music Teacher to provide private and group lessons in our retail lesson studio. In this student-focused role, you will develop individualized lesson plans, teach violin technique and music theory, and prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances. You will collaborate with store staff and parents, maintain accurate scheduling and progress records, and promote a positive, inclusive, and performance-oriented learning environment that supports Music & Arts' mission of expanding access to quality music education in the community. Responsibilities Provide private and group violin instruction to students of varying ages and levels Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans focused on technique, theory, and musicianship Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances Assess student progress and communicate regularly with parents and guardians Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and progress records Collaborate with store staff to support lesson enrollment and studio utilization Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating lesson environment Incorporate appropriate method books, repertoire, and practice strategies Ensure proper instrument care, tuning, and basic maintenance guidance Support Music & Arts' mission of expanding access to quality music education Required Skills Violin performance Music theory Lesson planning Classroom and studio management Student assessment Recital and audition preparation Communication with parents and students Basic instrument care and tuning Time management and scheduling Curriculum development for music lessons
