Job Description
Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high-quality private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll assess student skill levels, create tailored lesson plans, teach a variety of instruments or focus area, and prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances. Collaborate with store staff to support sales of instruments and accessories that meet student needs. Maintain accurate schedules and progress records, communicate regularly with parents and school partners, and contribute to a positive, student-focused, and community-oriented store environment. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Assess student abilities and develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals Prepare students for recitals, performances, and auditions Track student progress and maintain accurate lesson records and schedules Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and school partners about progress Collaborate with store staff to recommend appropriate instruments, accessories, and materials Support a clean, organized, and student-focused studio and lesson environment Participate in store events, recitals, and community outreach to promote music education Adhere to company teaching standards, policies, and safety procedures Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Music theory Instrument/voice proficiency Classroom management Student assessment Parent communication Performance preparation Basic sales support Record keeping
