Music & Arts is seeking a Trumpet Teacher to provide high-quality private and small-group trumpet lessons in our retail store. In this role, you will teach students of all ages and skill levels, develop individualized lesson plans, and prepare students for performances, auditions, and school programs. You'll collaborate with store staff to support lesson scheduling, student retention, and studio growth while promoting a positive, inclusive, and student-focused learning environment that reflects our mission of advancing music education in the community. Responsibilities Provide individual and small-group trumpet lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Create and adapt lesson plans to support student goals and progress Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school or community performances Assess student progress and communicate regularly with students and parents Maintain a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment Collaborate with store staff on lesson scheduling and student retention Support growth of the lesson studio through student engagement and referrals Promote proper instrument care, technique, and practice habits Required Skills Trumpet performance Music theory Lesson planning Student assessment Classroom/lesson management Brass pedagogy Performance preparation and coaching Communication with parents and students Time management and scheduling Basic retail/customer service
