In this role, you will design engaging lessons that foster musical growth, creativity, and confidence among students of diverse backgrounds. This position offers a dynamic opportunity to nurture young musicians while contributing to a vibrant educational community. Duties Develop and implement music curricula tailored to elementary, middle and high school students, incorporating various learning technologies and instructional modifications. Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote musical literacy, performance skills, and appreciation for different musical genres. Manage classroom behavior effectively, creating a positive environment conducive to learning and creativity. Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, including special education needs and working with students from various cultural backgrounds. Qualifications Proven experience in classroom teaching, particularly with a focus on music education. Strong knowledge of music theory. Excellent communication skills for effective parent engagement and teacher collaboration. Skilled in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and lesson planning tailored to diverse student populations. Demonstrated ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles while fostering a love for music and participation in performances or tutoring sessions. Prior experience working with children from varied cultural backgrounds is highly desirable.
