Available Position & Job Description:

Part-Time Piano, Voice, Guitar & Ukulele Teachers for After-School Program Seeking individuals to provide FUN private piano, voice, guitar, and ukulele lessons on campus at an elementary school in West Hollywood. (If you are interested in teaching additional lessons in our clients' homes, please let us know.) Available shifts are M-F from 3-6pm. You can choose which days you'd like to teach with a minimum requirement of 2 days. We handle everything for you on the business end - all you have to do is teach your lessons! We have a waiting list of students already ready to go, so you will be able to start teaching right away on Sept. 14th! This is a W-2 employment position in compliance with the State of California's labor laws.

Teachers Must:

1) Be able to teach at least 2 of the listed instruments up to an early intermediate level. If you play/teach any additional instruments, please let us know. 2) Have availability Mon.-Fri. (3-6pm) and must be able to commit to at least 2• teaching days for the entirety of the school year, Sept. 14th through May 28th. We follow the school calendar and have Thanksgiving week off, two weeks for winter break, one week for spring break, and a few other days off sprinkled throughout. Please do not apply if you cannot commit to the entire academic year.• 3) Be punctual, reliable, consistent, professional, and thrive in an environment that does not micro-manage. 4) Have a warm, patient, personable, "camp counselor"-type personality. Be enthusiastic and passionate about music education and helping your students fall in love with music, and be able to develop rapport quickly with children and parents alike. 5) Be detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working at a fast pace - we're a lot of fun, but you MUST be able to keep up with us.

Job Requirements:

1) At least 8 years of experience playing your primary instrument. 2) At least 3 years of teaching experience as a private music instructor, particularly with children ages 5-12. 3) A commitment for the entire academic year. Please do not apply for this position if you tour regularly and/or anticipate being out of town for long stretches at a time. 4) Some college study related to music and/or to your primary instrument. Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred. 5) Group class and/or camp counselor experience is a plus. Please mention this in your resume or your cover letter, if you have experience in this area. 6) Must be able to pass a federal and state criminal background check/fingerprinting.
