About S&S Harmony S&S Harmony Music Studio is a growing music school in Chino, CA, serving students from Chino, Chino Hills, and surrounding communities. We are looking for a skilled, dependable, and enthusiastic Piano Instructor to join our growing faculty. Our students range from young beginners to advanced pianists preparing for recitals, exams, auditions, and competitions. We are looking for a teacher who enjoys working with students individually and is interested in building a consistent, long-term teaching schedule with our studio. Why Teach With Us? Students are provided — no need to recruit your own Scheduling, billing, and administrative support are handled by the studio Fully equipped private teaching rooms with acoustic pianos On-site recital hall featuring a Steinway Model B grand piano Regular recitals and performance opportunities Opportunities for students to participate in exams, auditions, and competitions Opportunity to grow your teaching schedule as enrollment increases Supportive, musician-run studio environment Responsibilities Teach private piano lessons to students of various ages and levels Develop strong fundamentals in technique, sight-reading, musicianship, and music theory Select appropriate repertoire based on each student's level, interests, and goals Prepare students for studio recitals and other performances Prepare interested students for ABRSM, Certificate of Merit (CM), competitions, auditions, and other programs when appropriate Communicate professionally with students, parents, and studio administration Maintain a dependable and consistent weekly teaching schedule Qualifications Strong piano performance and musicianship background Previous private piano teaching experience preferred Bachelor's degree in music, current music degree student, or equivalent professional experience preferred Comfortable teaching children and beginner students Ability to teach intermediate and advanced students is highly desirable Patient, encouraging, dependable, and professional Experience with ABRSM, Certificate of Merit (CM), competitions, auditions, or advanced repertoire is a plus Current university/conservatory music students and recent graduates with strong piano and communication skills are encouraged to apply. Schedule & Compensation Part-time / contract position $35-$50 per teaching hour, depending on experience and qualifications Approximately 2-15 teaching hours per week, depending on enrollment and availability We are looking for instructors who can commit to at least one consistent teaching day each week Additional teaching days may become available as enrollment grows To Apply Please submit your résumé along with a brief introduction about your piano teaching and performance background.
