Hours:
20-40 hours per week
Compensation:
$50.00 - $60.00 / hour (commensurate with experience) Overview We are seeking a passionate, and dedicated Piano Instructor to inspire students of all ages to discover the profound joy of music. Operating within a studio deeply committed to exceptional artistic standards and holistic student growth, this role is centered on building a thriving, inclusive musical community. Key Responsibilities Tailored Instruction:
Deliver high-quality private and group Piano lessons that seamlessly integrate technical skill, robust music theory, sight-reading, and healthy, expressive performance habits.
Curriculum Design:
Adapt and implement engaging curricula tailored to individual skill levels, learning styles, and goals—from early childhood beginners to advanced performers.
Comprehensive Musicianship:
Connect solo Piano studies to broader musical contexts, cultivating student awareness of chamber music, choral harmony, and orchestral repertoire.
Studio Culture:
Maintain a welcoming, highly motivating studio environment that balances artistic excellence with compassionate mentorship.
Performance Preparation:
Prepare students for regular recitals, studio showcases, and evaluations to build stage confidence and celebrate creative growth.
Family Engagement:
Maintain clear, proactive, and professional communication with parents and guardians to support home practice habits and long-term musical development.
Qualifications & Skills Pedagogical Expertise:
Demonstrated experience in Piano pedagogy and studio teaching, with a strong grasp of technical fundamentals, healthy physical mechanics, and age-appropriate method books/literature.
Structured & Creative Planning:
Proven ability to sequence curriculum, design engaging lesson plans, and keep students motivated across various age groups.
Adaptive / Neurodivergent
Support (Preferred): Experience or training in supporting neurodivergent learners—specifically students with ADHD and ASD. Ability to apply sensory-friendly pacing, adaptive teaching strategies, and flexible lesson structures is a strong plus.
Inspirational Mentorship:
Excellent studio management skills utilizing positive reinforcement to foster focus, discipline, emotional regulation, and a love for learning.
Strong Communication:
Outstanding interpersonal skills to build trust with students and establish strong, collaborative relationships with families.
Interdisciplinary Perspective:
