We are seeking an experienced, warm, dependable teacher who teaches BOTH voice and piano for private in-home lessons in Sherman Oaks (91403 and 91423). We have current student demand and want a strong long-term match. This is a traveling, in-person teaching opportunity—not an online-only or studio-only role. A reliable car and willingness to drive to students' homes in Sherman Oaks are required. Nearby Valley routes can be discussed.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Demonstrated teaching experience in both voice and piano. Healthy vocal technique, solid piano foundations, and an engaging, individualized approach. Experience teaching children, teens, and adults, including beginners. Ability to teach repertoire, rhythm, ear training, music reading, and theory. Pop, jazz, and musical-theater experience are welcome; tell us your strongest styles. Warmth, musical rigor, punctuality, and clear communication with families. A music degree or equivalent professional performing and teaching experience.
LOCATION AND SCHEDULE
In-home lessons in Sherman Oaks, primarily 91403 and 91423. Please share exact recurring weekday and weekend availability and your earliest start date. After-school openings are especially useful. Placements depend on student needs and schedule matches; a minimum number of hours is not guaranteed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan personalized one-to-one voice and piano lessons; build technique, confidence, repertoire, and effective practice habits; support steady progress; and communicate reliably about scheduling and student goals.
