Job Description

MUSIC INSTRUCTORS

PIANO, VOICE, VIOLIN, GUITAR & DRUMS
The Wonder Note | Redondo Beach, CA | In-Person | Part-Time & Full-Time The Wonder Note is looking for talented, passionate music teachers to join our close-knit team of educators and working musicians. We teach students of all ages and levels in a professional, creative environment designed to develop both strong musicianship and confident performers.
INSTRUMENTS & CURRENT NEEDS
Piano:
2-4 days/week
Voice:
2-4 days/week
Violin:
Mondays Guitar:
1-2 days/week
Drums:
On-call/substitute
RESPONSIBILITIES
> Teach 30-60 minute private and/or group lessons Create individualized lessons based on each student's age, ability, personality, and goals Develop technique, musicianship, ear training, rhythm, repertoire, and performance skills Prepare students for recitals, auditions, performances, and live-band experiences Maintain lesson notes and communicate student progress Arrive consistently on time and prepared Participate in studio recitals, events, intensives, and camps as needed Voice instructors: Contemporary styles including pop, jazz, rock, R&B, indie, and musical theatre. Experience with Logic Pro is preferred, or willingness to learn quickly.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in your instrument/discipline 3-5+ years of teaching experience 15+ years of experience on your primary instrument Strong musicianship and performance background Experience teaching children, teens, and/or adults Reliable, punctual, professional, and positive Able to adapt to different students/parents/learning needs Experience with special needs or neurodivergent students is a plus Authorized to work in the U.S. In-person teaching availability

THE WONDER NOTE
All of our rooms are built like recording studios, and we host two major recitals each year featuring hundreds of students and full live-band accompaniment . We provide strong administrative support, creative freedom, and opportunities for teachers to grow with the studio.
COMPENSATION
