Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail store. In this student focused role, you'll design lesson plans, teach fundamental through intermediate techniques, prepare students for performances and school ensembles, and track progress. You'll collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and accessories that enhance learning. The ideal candidate is an experienced musician and educator who communicates clearly with students and parents and thrives in a collaborative, service driven environment. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons in-store Develop individualized lesson plans and learning goals Teach fundamentals, technique, and music theory appropriate to level Prepare students for performances, recitals, and school ensembles Assess and document student progress and provide feedback to parents Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and accessory sales for students Maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment Recommend practice routines and materials to support skill development Required Skills Music performance on primary instrument Music theory and aural skills Lesson planning and curriculum development Classroom and lesson management Student assessment and progress tracking Instrument pedagogy (band/orchestra/piano/voice) Basic piano/keyboard skills Parent and student communication Use of digital tools for scheduling and records Ensemble coaching and rehearsal techniques
