Stamford Music and Arts Academy (SMAA) is Fairfield County's elite conservatory music program, offering private music lessons on a semester basis in a convenient location near I-95 in Stamford, CT. We currently have openings for piano and cello teachers.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

A Bachelor's degree in Music. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of two years teaching experience. Performance experience is a plus. Experience teaching private music lessons to students of all ages and levels. Comfortable teaching various styles and genres, with an emphasis on classical music. Ability to teach music fundamentals (note reading, sight reading, scales, technique, theory, etc.) Prepare students for ongoing recitals, festivals, and competitions. Effectively communicate with parents and SMAA staff. Responsible, conscientious, and punctual. Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. Technologically savvy and can teach online if the need arises.

Flexible schedule within operating hours (after school hours, and/or weekends) All lessons are in one place with little to no down time between lessons.
