Upright and Electric Bass Teacher

Job Description

Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated upright and electric Bass Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and performance on their instrument. This role involves not only teaching the student how to play the bass but also fostering a love for music through engaging lessons tailored to each student's needs. The teacher should understand the unique approaches and challenges of working with children, teens, and adults. Duties Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to the individual learning styles of students. Educate students on a wide variety of musical aspects including music theory, reading and writing both tab and traditional music notation, music history, and music appreciation in addition to learning instrument specific technique and repertoire. Qualifications Proven experience in teaching upright and electric BASS or music education in a professional environment. Strong knowledge of music theory and proficiency on the instrument. Experience working with diverse age groups, including preschoolers, children, teens, and adults. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and inspire students. A passion for music education and a commitment to fostering student growth. Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes creativity and learning. Priority will be given to teachers who are proficient in playing and teaching additional instruments
