Job Summary The Middle Georgia State University Music Program invites applications for an Adjunct Guitar Instructor. We are seeking an experienced, student-centered educator who is passionate about developing the next generation of musicians in a dynamic and growing program. Responsibilities Teaching applied guitar lessons to music majors and non-majors Coaching chamber groups or commercial ensembles as needed Participating in juries and contributing to student assessment Collaborating with faculty to support student success and program growth Potential opportunities for additional courses depending on experience and departmental needs Required Qualifications Required Educational Qualifications Master¿s degree in music or a closely related field required Required Experience Successful teaching experience at the collegiate or pre-collegiate level Other Required Qualifications Demonstrated excellence in guitar performance (classical, jazz, commercial, or contemporary styles are all welcome) Strong communication skills and a commitment to mentoring students Preferred Qualifications Preferred Educational Qualifications Doctoral degree in music Preferred Experience Experience teaching in-person and online Other Preferred Qualifications Ability to connect students with music industry professionals Qualified to teach
