Job Description
Job Overview We're growing the team at Centrally Rooted and are currently looking for new Mindful Musicians Instructors. Mindful Musicians is an 8-week music experience (offered at Centrally Rooted) specially designed to grow strong brains and confident kids — in a way that feels playful, creative, and deeply connecting. Each week, children and their caregivers make music together while building real musical skills and real-life tools. Through rhythm, singing, movement, and hands-on activities, kids strengthen focus, coordination, language development, and emotional awareness — all while having so much fun they don't realize how much they're growing. Created by a board-certified music therapist, this program weaves foundational music education with simple mindfulness and coping skills. We practice things like positive self-talk, calming strategies, confidence-building, and healthy risk-taking — skills that support resilience now and for years to come.. This role is perfect for a candidate who believes in the importance of brain health education. The ideal candidate will enjoy teaching children, feel comfortable singing on their own and can play either guitar or ukulele confidently. Compensation is $30 per each 45 minute class taught, plus compensation for team meetings and training sessions.
