• Well established music store is looking for a dependable and qualified Guitar teacher.

All lessons take place at our Orland Park location in IL. We offer a friendly comfortable teaching environment, convenient location, and we help take care of the scheduling. We are family-owned and operated for over 60 years and all of our teachers schedules are created in the store. (Schedules are penciled in, we are not computerized at the moment). Applicants must be reliable, personable and have the ability and patience to teach school age children, as well as, adults. Teaching position is at our location in Orland Park, IL. Come and join our exciting staff of other teachers where you will find a fun and rewarding teaching experience. Students are available, plus there is room to grow! We are a self sufficient music store providing a large selection of method books, instruments and gear. We also offer full instrument repairs in-house.

• Duties
• Teach lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, using a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and challenge each student.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of each student and align with their goals and learning style.
• Provide individualized instruction, guidance, and feedback to students, to help them improve their skills.
• Encourage and support students in their musical endeavors, whether it's preparing for performances, recordings or participating in recitals.
• Develop and maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and engagement.
• Keep accurate records of student progress, attendance & payments.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to music education.
• Qualifications
• Degree in Music or a related field.
• Experience teaching music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
• Strong knowledge of music theory and technique.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds.
• Experience working with children, including those with special needs.
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
