• Well established music store is looking for a dependable and qualified piano teacher.

All lessons take place at our Orland Park location in IL. We offer a friendly comfortable teaching environment, convenient location, and we take care of all the scheduling. We are family-owned and operated for over 60 years and all of our teachers schedules are created in the store. Applicants must be reliable, personable and have the ability and patience to teach school age children as well as adults. Teaching position is in our newly renovated location in Orland Park. Come and join our exciting staff of other teachers where you will find a fun and rewarding teaching experience. Students available, plus room to grow! We are a self sufficient music store providing a large selection of method books, instruments and gear. We also offer full instrument repair in-house.

• Duties
• Teach piano lessons to students of all ages and skill levels, using a variety of teaching methods and resources to engage and challenge each student.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the needs of each student and align with their goals and learning style.
• Provide individualized instruction, guidance, and feedback to students to help them improve their piano skills.
• Encourage and support students in their musical endeavors, whether it's preparing for performances or participating in recitals.
• Develop and maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student learning and engagement.
• Keep accurate records of student progress and attendance.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a cohesive and comprehensive approach to music education.
• Qualifications
• Degree in Music or a related field.
• Experience teaching music lessons to students of all ages and skill levels.
• Strong knowledge of music theory and piano technique.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students of all ages and backgrounds.
• Experience working with children, including those with special needs.
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles and practices.
• Ability to manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment.
• Knowledge of photography or sewing is not necessary but would be a bonus.
• Experience working with students with behavioral challenges is desirable.
