Immediate Position Overview Attica Consolidated School Corporation is seeking a passionate and dedicated Band Teacher to lead and develop a comprehensive instrumental music program for students in grades 5-12. The ideal candidate will inspire student musicianship, foster a love of music, and build a strong, visible band program that reflects pride in the Attica community. Key Responsibilities Plan and deliver engaging band instruction for students in grades 5-12 Develop students' musical skills, including performance, technique, and music literacy Organize and direct concert bands, pep band, and other performance ensembles Prepare students for concerts, performances, competitions, and community events Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of beginners through advanced musicians Maintain and manage music inventory, instruments, and equipment Collaborate with staff, administration, and families to support student success Promote and grow participation in the band program Uphold high expectations for student behavior, accountability, and performance quality Qualifications Valid Indiana teaching license in Music Education (Instrumental preferred) Strong background in instrumental music instruction and conducting Ability to work with a wide range of grade levels and skill abilities Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment Why Attica?
