Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dynamic String Teacher - Private Lesson Instructor to inspire students of all ages in the art of string instruments. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop personalized lesson plans, foster musical growth, and cultivate a love for music through engaging instruction. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and expertise in string performance and teaching to help students achieve their musical goals in a supportive environment. This paid position emphasizes professional development and the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' lives. Duties Design and implement customized lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level, learning style, and musical interests Teach proper technique for string instruments such as violin, viola, cello, or double bass, including posture, bowing, fingering, and intonation Foster a positive learning environment by encouraging student engagement Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support continuous improvement Prepare students for twice a year recitals and attend the recitals (typically held on Friday evenings and Saturday mornings) Collaborate with parents or guardians to communicate student progress and address individual needs Experience Proven experience teaching beginner-intermediate level string students Demonstrated ability to develop engaging curricula that promote technical mastery and musical expression Experience working with children and youth programs, creating a nurturing environment for young learners Join us as a String Teacher - Private Lesson Instructor and help shape the next generation of musicians!
