Old Orchard Beach High School
POSITION TYPE AND STATUS
High School Band & Music Teacher Located a mile from the Atlantic Ocean and 15 minutes from Portland, RSU 23 is a 700 student, three-school district seeking a Math Teacher to join our team. OOBHS is a 200 student enrollment campus. The successful candidate should possess the following:
CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Citizenship, residency or work visa Maine State Teaching Certification #614 (PK-12 Music) Maine Department of Education CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) https://www.maine.gov/doe/cert/fingerprinting
QUALIFICATIONS / JOB SUMMARY
Extensive knowledge of the musical arts (Concert Band, Chorus, Piano) Deep understanding of curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Willingness to collaborate with colleagues and share best practices Demonstrated ability to deliver rigorous, relevant, and engaging math instruction to students of varying abilities Collaborates with parents, teachers, administrators, community leaders and other stakeholders to promote and support student success Experience and demonstrated success teaching a variety of music courses Ability to integrate technology to enhance instruction Interest in participating in the school community outside of the classroom.
