EXPERIENCE

Possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate with an endorsement (JX) in K-8 music Possess a Bachelors Degree with a major in vocal or instrumental music (Masters Degree preferred) Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with students, faculty, administrators, peers, parents and the Ann Arbor community Active involvement in professional music association(s) desired Ability to use technology for instructional and management purposes desired

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Teach district approved curriculum. Develop lessons and instructional material to provide instruction to adapt to the curriculum needs of each pupil. Communicate regularly with parents outside normal classroom day by various communication means. Provide performing opportunities for students in concerts and assembly formats. Keep appropriate records and prepare progress reports. Serve on committees to promote music in the school as well as the community Other duties as assigned

Read, analyze, and interpret periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Effectively present information in written and oral form. Speak clearly and concisely in written or oral communication.

Apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

REASONING ABILITY
