Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic and dependable music instructors to provide individual and small-group music lessons to children, teens, and adults. We are currently seeking instructors in: Piano Voice Guitar Violin Other instruments are welcome Multi-instrument instructors are strongly encouraged to apply. However, candidates who specialize in only one instrument are also welcome. Responsibilities Provide engaging, structured music lessons based on each student's age and skill level Teach proper technique, music fundamentals, and performance skills Develop lesson plans and help students establish achievable goals Track student progress Communicate professionally with students, parents, and staff Maintain a welcoming, encouraging, and organized lesson environment Prepare students for optional recitals, performances, and special events Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance Schedule Candidates should be mindful that most music lessons take place between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM and on weekends. Scheduling is flexible, and instructors may select consistent teaching days based on availability. Qualifications Demonstrated proficiency in at least one musical instrument or voice Multiple-instrument proficiency preferred but not required Previous teaching, coaching, or youth experience preferred Professional, patient, encouraging demeanor Dependable transportation Ability to work independently Must successfully complete a background check Experience working with children and teens is a plus
