DESCRIPTION

Saint John the Baptist Catholic School in Jordan is seeking a part-time Music Teacher to bring the joy of music to our Preschool through 8th-grade students .

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

Teach general music education to students in Preschool through Grade 8 using our wonderful resources or using things that you select! Foster a love of music through singing, movement, instruments, and music theory Build meaningful relationships with students and families Use our wonderful instrument collection to get students involved in their learning! Contribute to a faith-filled school community Prepare students to share all they learned with our community at concerts (

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

A practicing Catholic who actively participates in the sacramental life of the Church A licensed music teacher (preferred) or an individual with a degree in music education, choral direction, or a related field, or a degree in something else but a passion for music Experience teaching music to elementary and/or middle school students (preferred) Strong classroom management and communication Ability to pass background checks and complete required safe environment training

POSITION DETAILS

Part-time position (2 days per week, prefer Tues. and Thurs., approx. 7:45-3:45)
