There is an opportunity to build the Music program at Arts Together and teach more classes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in music education and the ability to engage students of all ages, from preschoolers to adults. This role requires creativity, patience, and a commitment to fostering a love for music in students while developing their skills in various musical disciplines. Duties Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students. Instruct students in various aspects of music, including theory, performance, and appreciation. Utilize behavior management techniques to create a positive learning environment. Provide individualized support for students requiring additional assistance. Organize classroom activities that promote collaboration and teamwork among students. Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects that enhance the overall educational experience. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to encourage growth. Experience Previous experience teaching music to children is preferred. Familiarity with special education practices and behavior management strategies is a plus. Experience in lesson planning and classroom management is essential. A passion for working with preschool-aged children and fostering their early musical development is highly valued.
