The Anselmo Academy of Music and the Arts , a nonprofit arts organization, is looking for a lively and student-centered Violin/Viola Teacher to join our faculty for Private Lessons and Group Classes. We're seeking someone who can motivate young musicians by combining strong technical foundations with music that excites them. This is an in-person teaching role, primarily in Manhattan. Availability on Fridays from 3-5pm throughout the school year is a requirement. Role Overview Teach private and group Violin and Viola lessons mostly for beginner-level students. Design engaging, age-appropriate lessons that mix essential skills with creativity and student input. Cultivate a welcoming and encouraging atmosphere that helps students feel confident and enjoy the process of learning. Additional teaching opportunities across our programs may be available. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Violin/Viola Performance or a closely related field (required). Master's Degree preferred. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience preferred. Experience teaching group Violin/Viola classes (preferred). Must reside in or near NYC and be able to travel to Manhattan (Bronx availability is a plus). Friendly, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with excellent communication skills.
