Job Description

Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy seeks a qualified violin/viola teacher to join a team of Private Music Lesson Program teachers serving Amleder students. Lessons are given during the school day, so teachers must be able to coordinate lesson times that do not conflict with essential classroom learning blocks. A schedule of allowed times will be provided at the beginning of each school year, but due to the sometimes-fluid nature of classroom schedules as well as enrichment days, flexibility is required. Weekly practice directions and frequent communication with parents are expected of studio teachers to ensure the progress of students. Private string teachers at CHCA use combinations of the Sassmannshaus Tradition and Suzuki Methods for beginning students, and transition into traditional etudes and repertoire as students progress. CHCA is a Christ-centered, non-Denominational Christian school. We desire all teachers to reflect the beliefs of our school.
Required:
High level communication skills for partnering with parents. Degree(s) in Violin or Viola Performance and/or Music Education with experience teaching a private violin/viola studio.
Desired:
Experience teaching the Sassmannshaus Tradition and/or Suzuki Methods.
