Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field. In this role, you will create engaging learning experiences that promote early childhood development, literacy, and social skills. You will be instrumental in guiding young learners through their foundational years, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating classroom environment that aligns with our high standards of education and care. Duties Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate curriculum development principles and support early childhood education standards. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques. Support children's physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development through child development instruction and hands-on activities. Communicate regularly with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones to build strong partnerships. Ensure safety by adhering to mandated reporting laws, maintaining a clean classroom environment, and practicing first aid and CPR when necessary. Use classroom experience to adapt teaching strategies for diverse learners, including those requiring special education or early intervention services. Assess student progress using standardized testing methods and adjust instruction accordingly to meet individual needs. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field is required. Proven experience working with young children in preschool or toddler care settings. Strong knowledge of childhood development theories, literacy education, math concepts, and physical education activities suitable for preschoolers. Familiarity with behavior management strategies and classroom management techniques. Excellent communication skills for parent communication and team collaboration. Knowledge of mandated reporting laws, child welfare practices, and health & safety protocols including first aid and CPR certification. Experience teaching children with special needs or in early intervention programs is a plus. Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate curriculum development principles while fostering creativity and curiosity.
