Job Description

Meridee Winters School of Music is hiring in-home music teachers for piano, voice, guitar, violin, and more. Whether you're a gigging musician, music major, performer, or experienced teacher, we'd love to meet you (and even make a little music together)! Why You'll Love Working Here Pay starting at $35.00-$38.00 per hour Flexible part-time schedule that works around performances, school, or another job W-2 employment Paid training, even if you've never taught before Monthly driving stipend for travel between students' homes Supportive community of fellow musicians, educators, and performers Exclusive access to our own curriculum, games, and teaching resources Opportunities for professional growth through ongoing workshops and mentorship What You'll Do You'll travel to students' homes throughout the Main Line, typically teaching 30-60 minute lessons on weekday afternoons and evenings after school. Our teachers build a consistent weekly schedule that fits their availability. Using the Meridee Winters Music Method (the only proprietary music curriculum of its kind in the area), you'll create engaging, personalized lessons that match each student's interests, personality, and goals. Our curriculum gives you a strong foundation while leaving plenty of room for your own creativity, teaching style, and musical spark. Why Meridee Winters? We're proud to be: Adventurous learners, playful creators, and courageous performers A real school, comprised of real, caring, creative humans A true creative community, where musicians continue growing through workshops, collaboration, and shared ideas. Woman-owned and woman-led, fostering a collaborative, supportive culture where creativity thrives. A Main Line Parent Love Award winner, trusted by local families for over 35 years. We're committed to helping both our students and teachers grow. (And yes, we believe learning music should be just as joyful as making it.) Our Ideal Candidate... Has several years of musical training or performance experience. A music degree is a huge plus, but not required if you have a solid background in music. Has at least basic piano skills, as piano is our highest-demand instrument Can sight-read music at a basic level (if you're unsure, we're happy to send a short sample to review) Enjoys working with children, teens, and the occasional adult Is eager to learn our teaching method (no previous teaching experience required, we'll train you!) Has access to a reliable vehicle for traveling to students' homes Additional Details Lessons are taught primarily in students' homes throughout the Main Line.
