Open Positions:
We are currently hiring teachers in the following areas: Piano Trumpet & Piano Strings (must be able to teach at least two of the following: Violin, Viola, Cello, and/or Bass) This position is ideal for educators who enjoy working with students of all ages and abilities while creating engaging, individualized lessons that inspire a lifelong love of music.
Pay:
$40 per teaching hour Additional paid lesson planning and administrative opportunities are available.
All candidates should:
Be able to incorporate composition and/or songwriting into lessons (training and mentorship provided) Adapt instruction to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles, goals, and abilities Employ an engaging teaching style with beginners through advanced musicians Be comfortable teaching a variety of musical styles
Schedule Availability:
Candidates should be available for at least one of the following: Mondays after 3:00 PM Tuesdays after 3:00 PM Wednesdays after 3:00 PM Saturdays before 12:00 PM Consistency is important, as teachers build a regular weekly schedule with their students. About the

At Pittsburgh Music House, we teach students ages 3-99 with a wide variety of interests, goals, and learning styles. Many students explore multiple instruments while also developing skills in singing, songwriting, improvisation, and creative music-making.
