About Jinny's Music Studio Jinny's Music Studio is a growing music studio in San Jose offering tailored instruction, elegant recital spaces, and professional recording facilities equipped with a Steinway Model B and Neumann microphones. We provide a supportive, creative environment where musicians of all ages and experience levels can develop performance skills and musical understanding. As a women- and Asian-owned business, we're committed to fostering an inclusive community, high artistic standards, and meaningful musical experiences. We're currently expanding our lesson program and looking for additional teachers to join our roster. About This Role This role is for teachers who want to be placed with students booked through Jinny's Music Studio and paid for booked teaching hours — different from our Teacher Partner Program, which is for teachers who bring their own students and rent our studio space. You'll provide individualized instruction, plan and deliver lessons that build strong foundations in technique, theory, and performance, and adapt your teaching to each student's goals and level. Day-to-day, that includes preparing lesson materials, tracking student progress, communicating with families or adult students, and supporting recital or recording opportunities hosted by the studio.

This is a hybrid role:

Teaching and studio activities happen on-site in San Jose, with some lesson prep, admin, and limited remote instruction done from home. Responsibilities Teach private lessons to students booked through Jinny's Music Studio Provide a professional, encouraging, and organized lesson experience Communicate clearly with students, parents, and studio management Arrive on time and be prepared for scheduled lessons Support student progress, recital preparation, auditions, and musical development Maintain a positive, professional presence in the studio Follow studio scheduling, attendance, and communication policies Ideal Candidate Experience teaching private music lessons Comfortable working with children, teens, and/or adult students Reliable, punctual, and professional Able to commit to regular weekly teaching availability Flexible Availability based on Student Needs (Prefer M-Th) A background in classical music, performance, pedagogy, or music education Excited to be part of a growing music education community

Hourly based on lessons; more teaching hours become available as enrollment grows This is a good fit for teachers who want to grow consistent teaching hours without renting space, cleaning or maintaining the business, or managing their own student acquisition.
