Responsibilities Design and implement customized piano lesson plans tailored to each student's skill level, interests, and learning style Teach fundamental piano techniques, including sight-reading, finger positioning, rhythm, and musical interpretation Incorporate curriculum development strategies to ensure progressive skill advancement and artistic growth Guide students through performance preparation, including recital participation and audition readiness
Requirements Experience:
3-5+ years of experience teaching piano, particularly intermediate-to-advanced students.
Advanced Piano Skills:
Demonstrated proficiency in classical repertoire, music theory, sight-reading, ear training, technique, and performance preparation.
Teaching Expertise:
Ability to teach advanced repertoire from composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Debussy, Rachmaninoff, and other major composers.
Individualized Instruction:
Ability to assess each student's skill level and create personalized lesson plans and practice strategies.
Performance Preparation:
Experience preparing students for recitals, competitions, auditions, examinations, or college music programs.
Music Theory:
Strong knowledge of harmony, analysis, chord progressions, composition, and advanced music theory.
Communication:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and parents.
Patience & Mentorship:
Ability to motivate advanced students, provide constructive feedback, and foster long-term musical growth.
Professionalism:
Reliable, organized, punctual, and committed to maintaining a positive learning environment.
