We currently have openings for cello and piano teachers.
Requirements & Responsibilities:
A Bachelor's degree in Music. Master's degree preferred. A minimum of two years teaching experience. Performance experience is a plus. Experience teaching private music lessons to students of all ages and levels. Comfortable teaching various styles and genres, with an emphasis on classical music. Ability to teach music fundamentals (note reading, sight reading, scales, technique, theory, etc.) Prepare students for ongoing recitals, festivals, and competitions. Effectively communicate with parents and SMAA staff. Responsible, conscientious, and punctual. Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills. Technologically savvy and can teach online if the need arises.

A conservatory music program focused on the best practices of teaching and music performance. Competitive hourly rate based on experience ($45-50) Compensation for late cancel or no-show lessons. Flexible schedule within operating hours (after school hours, and/or weekends) All lessons are in one place with little to no down time between lessons.
