Music Instructor - Guitar and Piano (Part-time, Afternoons)

Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Guitar & Piano Instructor to inspire students of all ages in the art of musical performance. In this role, you will deliver engaging lessons that foster creativity, technical skill, and a love for music. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help students develop their musical talents, whether they are beginners or advanced players, while creating a positive and motivating learning environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to share your musical knowledge and nurture the next generation of musicians. Availability needed Tuesday and thursday afternoons 2-7 Responsibilities Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans tailored to individual student needs, skill levels, and learning goals in guitar and piano instruction Teach foundational techniques, music theory, sight-reading, and performance skills across various genres and styles Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, confidence, and active participation Manage classroom behavior effectively to ensure a focused and respectful learning environment Track student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting teaching methods accordingly Organize and prepare students for recitals, performances, or assessments to showcase their growth Collaborate with parents, guardians, or program coordinators to communicate student achievements and areas for improvement Qualifications Proven experience teaching guitar and piano to diverse age groups, including children and adults Strong background in curriculum development for music education and arts instruction Knowledge of classroom management techniques suitable for various age ranges Experience working with children, youth programs, or early childhood education settings Skilled in teaching visual arts, performing arts, choreography, dance instruction, or theater is a plus Ability to develop engaging lesson plans that incorporate music theory, instrumental performance, and creative arts activities Familiarity with behavior management strategies and childhood development principles Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate students of all backgrounds Join us as a Guitar & Piano Instructor and help ignite musical passion in our vibrant community! Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 12.0 per week
