Job Description
The Windham Southeast School District (WSESD)/Windham Southeast Supervisory Union (WSESU) is an increasingly diverse community with an ongoing commitment to social justice and anti-racism. The successful candidate will be able to effectively discuss how they work with historically marginalized demographic groups of students.
Academy School is looking for a dynamic instrumental/ band teacher for grades 4-6, one day per week on Thursdays. This .2 position will be a full day of band lessons, and full band time for grade 4 (beginning band) and grades 5/6. The person in this position works alongside the general music teacher, and will take a collaborative approach for band instruction, as well as planning and executing performances.
Expertise in conducting bands and teaching digital music.
Strong organizational skills to manage performances, rehearsals, and collaborations.
Dedication to fostering a school environment where music is central to the community and student development.
