Job Description
Music & Arts is seeking a passionate Music Teacher to provide high quality private and group lessons in our retail lesson studio. In this role, you will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create engaging lesson plans, prepare students for performances and school programs, and communicate regularly with parents and educators. You will support store events, collaborate with sales and school service teams, and help foster a positive, inclusive, student focused environment that promotes musical growth, confidence, and long term customer relationships. Responsibilities Provide private and group music lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop and adapt individualized lesson plans and curricula Prepare students for recitals, concerts, and school performances Assess student progress and provide clear feedback to students and parents Collaborate with store, sales, and school service staff to support education programs Maintain accurate schedules, attendance, and student records Promote studio programs, recitals, and store events to drive lesson growth Uphold a safe, inclusive, and student-focused learning environment Required Skills Music pedagogy Instrumental or vocal performance Lesson planning Student assessment and progress tracking Classroom and studio management Music notation and theory Recital and performance preparation Parent and student communication Basic retail or customer service skills Scheduling and record-keeping
