Job Description

Music & Arts seeks a passionate Music Teacher to deliver private and group lessons in our busy retail store. You will teach students of varying ages and skill levels, create engaging lesson plans, and prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances. Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, accessories, and repair services that enhance learning. Track student progress, communicate regularly with parents and educators, and help build enrollment through exceptional instruction and customer service in a supportive, education-focused environment. Responsibilities Provide private and small group music lessons to students of varied ages and skill levels Develop individualized lesson plans aligned with student goals and school requirements Prepare students for recitals, auditions, exams, and school performances Assess and document student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and educators about student development Collaborate with store staff to support rentals, repairs, and accessory sales that aid instruction Maintain a professional, safe, and engaging studio environment Support student retention and new student enrollment through excellent teaching and service Participate in recitals, workshops, and in store educational events Required Skills Music instruction Lesson planning Student assessment Classroom/studio management Instrument proficiency Music theory Communication Parent engagement Recital and performance preparation Time management
