Job Description
Music & Arts seeks a part-time Piano Teacher to provide engaging private and group lessons in our retail store. You'll teach students of all ages and skill levels, develop personalized lesson plans, and prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances. Collaborate with store staff and educators to support student progress, promote lessons, and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment. Ideal candidates are skilled pianists with teaching experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for music education and community engagement. Responsibilities Provide individual and group piano lessons to students of varying ages and skill levels Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet student goals and progress Prepare students for recitals, auditions, and school performances Maintain accurate student records, schedules, and progress notes Collaborate with store staff to promote lessons and support retail events Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about student progress Encourage consistent practice habits and musical growth Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment Support Music & Arts programs and community engagement initiatives Required Skills Piano performance Music theory Ear training Lesson planning Classroom management Student assessment Recital and audition preparation Communication Customer service Basic scheduling and record-keeping
