Job Description

The Philosophy Instructor is a full‐time, 9-month salaried position responsible for teaching Intro to Philosophy, Ethics, Logic, and Religion courses. These responsibilities involve developing and implementing course syllabi, achieving student learning outcomes, evaluating student performance, record-keeping, and related activities. Related activities include, but are not limited to, advising, serving on various committees, participating in recruiting and retention efforts, and participating in professional activities and organizations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree or higher in Divinity or a Master's degree with 18 graduate-level hours in Divinity. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal communication skills required Experience with online teaching and classroom technology preferred

District Director of Social Science Instruction Location:
This position will have classes in Oxford and Senatobia.
CONTRACT TERM
Nine (9) months
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Teach Philosophy, Ethics, Logic and Religion courses Prepare, administer, and grade assignments, and/or program assessment data Maintain a record of student attendance as required by the Mississippi Community College Board Submit grades, attendance, and outcomes according to the academic calendar Manage timely engagement, grading, and communication Participate in departmental meetings and committee assignments Complete 15 hours of professional development each year Ability to travel between campus locations Establish effective relationships with college administration, faculty, staff, and students. Adhere to school policy as set in the Policy and Procedures Manual Perform other duties as assigned by the District Director of Business
