By studying philosophical texts and problems from both historical and contemporary perspectives, students develop critical thinking, analytical writing, and conceptual skills that prepare them for a range of careers and further study. Position Summary The position is an Adjunct Instructor position in the Department of Philosophy at Portland State University. The courses typically taught by our Adjunct pool are 300-level Philosophy courses that are also part of University Studies Junior Clusters. Minimum Qualifications Master's degree from an accredited institution and prior college-level teaching experience. Applicant must live in Oregon or SW Washington. Preferred Qualifications Phd in Philosophy from an accredited institution and prior college-level teaching experience. Key Cultural Competencies
