Neumann University is seeking a qualified and mission-centered professional to serve as the Director of Campus Ministry . The Director provides leadership for a comprehensive campus ministry program that supports the spiritual, pastoral, and faith development of students and contributes to the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of the University.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Demonstrate a deep appreciation for and understanding of the Catholic Franciscan tradition, mission, and values of Neumann University. Develop, implement, and evaluate programs and experiences that support students in their faith development, including retreats, evenings of reflection, liturgical celebrations, prayer experiences, Bible studies, spiritual conversations, and interfaith programming. Coordinate service opportunities, service-learning initiatives, and immersion experiences that foster an understanding of and commitment to social justice, peace, human dignity, and service to others. Assist in the planning and implementation of major University liturgical celebrations and other significant faith-based events. Facilitate opportunities for students, faculty, staff, and administrators to deepen their understanding of the University's Catholic Franciscan traditions and actively participate in the life and mission of the University. Actively engage student leaders from across the University in the work of Campus Ministry and in promoting a vibrant campus faith community. Recruit, train, mentor, and support student leaders involved in Campus Ministry programs and initiatives. Collaborate with the Vice President for Mission and Ministry and other members of the Mission and Ministry team to advance the University's mission and strategic priorities. Foster relationships with campus departments, student organizations, athletic programs, faculty, staff, and community partners to promote opportunities for spiritual growth, service, dialogue, and community engagement. Manage the Campus Ministry budget and ensure responsible stewardship of financial resources. Identify and pursue grant opportunities to support Campus Ministry programs and initiatives in collaboration with University Advancement. Supervise and support the Assistant Director of Campus Ministry. Supervise work-study students and graduate assistants and complete appropriate Human Resources documentation in a timely manner. Collaborate with Campus Press, the Public Relations Office, and the Sisters of St. Francis Communications Office to document and promote Campus Ministry programs, outreach, and activities. Maintain and regularly update the Campus Ministry webpage and social media platforms. Serve as a visible and positive representative of Neumann University. The highest standards of professional conduct, attitude, appearance, language, and confidentiality are expected in all aspects of performance. Attend University meetings and serve on committees as assigned. Understand and adhere to all applicable University safety policies and procedures, including safety education, accident prevention, and maintaining a safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President for Mission and Ministry.

Qualifications :

Master's degree in Theology, Religious Studies, Pastoral Ministry, or a related field. Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of the Catholic Franciscan tradition and spirituality preferred. Knowledge and understanding of Catholic liturgy and ritual. Demonstrated experience in campus ministry, pastoral ministry, or a related ministry setting. Experience working with and ministering to a diverse population of college students. Strong commitment to the Catholic faith and the mission of Catholic higher education. Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively, communicate clearly, and work as a member of a team. Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and foster a welcoming, inclusive, and faith-centered community. Ability to appreciate, support, and enhance interfaith relationships and dialogue within the University community. Strong organizational, leadership, interpersonal, and program-development skills. Ability to appreciate, support, and enhance interfaith relationships on campus. Candidates must possess an understanding of, appreciation for, and congruence with the Catholic Franciscan mission of the University.
