212110 - Philosophy Position Summary La Salle University's Philosophy program (within the Humanity & Society Department) has need for a highly qualified adjunct instructor to teach a section of HON 131: Early Philosophical Traditions within our university's Honors Program. Students in the course are simultaneously enrolled in HON 111: Early Literary Traditions and HON 121: Early Human History. Teaching HON 131 in the fall semester may lead to an opportunity to teach HON 132: Modern & Contemporary Philosophical Traditions in the spring semester. For more information on La Salle's Honors Program, please visit https://www.lasalle.edu/honors-program/ . Essential Duties Teach assigned course(s). Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives. Provide timely grading and feedback to students. Provide guidance and support to students. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Philosophy, with broad knowledge of general history of philosophy, from ancient to modern Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level. Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling.
