Department:
212310 - Religion and Theology Position Summary La Salle University's Religion & Theology program in the Department of Humanity & Society has an ongoing need for highly qualified adjunct faculty to teach each semester on an "as needed" basis. In particular, instructors may be needed for REL 100: Religion Matters. Other possible courses taught by adjunct faculty may include: REL 210: The Hebrew Scriptures or REL 220: Catholicism in the Modern World or similar. These courses are generally offered in person, in the daytime. For more information about the Religion & Theology program, please visit https://www.lasalle.edu/programs/religion/ . Essential Duties Teach assigned course(s). Prepare course materials consistent with departmental learning objectives. Provide timely grading and feedback to students. Provide guidance and support to students. Required Qualifications Master's degree in Religion or closely related field. Knowledge and commitment to the mission of La Salle University. Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level. Preferred Qualifications Ph.D., Th.D., or similar terminal degree in Religion and/or Theology. Willingness to be flexible in class scheduling. Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours Some classes offered may be in the evenings, on weekends, or online. Special Instructions to Applicant This is a pooled position from which Adjunct Instructors will be selected when/if a need arises in the department.
