Overview We are seeking a passionate and energetic K-8 Physical Education Teacher to inspire students across elementary and middle school grades to develop a lifelong love for movement, health, and wellness. In this dynamic role, you will design engaging physical education programs that promote teamwork, sportsmanship, and physical literacy. Your enthusiasm and expertise will help students build confidence, improve their motor skills, and understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive physical education curricula aligned with grade-specific standards and learning objectives. Plan and lead fun, inclusive activities that enhance students' motor skills, coordination, and fitness levels. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and motivating environment for all students. Assess student performance regularly through observations, standardized testing, and skill demonstrations; provide constructive feedback. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school events, and extracurricular sports programs. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field; teaching certification preferred. Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children across diverse age groups from elementary through middle school. Strong knowledge of curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education principles as they relate to physical activity. Excellent communication skills to motivate students, collaborate with staff, and engage parents effectively. Familiarity with standardized testing procedures in physical education and academic advising techniques. Prior school experience or background in coaching. Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive environment that promotes childhood development through active learning.
