You will collaborate closely with educational staff to tailor physical education programs, ensuring that every student receives the attention and support they need to succeed.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current teaching credential in Physical Education, with additional certification in Adapted Physical Education (APE) preferred Previous experience working as an Adaptive Physical Education Teacher in school settings Proven ability to design and modify instructional strategies for students with diverse needs Strong communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and assess individualized adaptive physical education lesson plans Work cooperatively with general and special education teachers to integrate adaptive strategies Regularly assess student progress and adjust activities to meet evolving needs Provide guidance on adaptive equipment and modifications for students and classrooms Maintain accurate records in compliance with school policy and state guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise on physical adaptations for students This opportunity places you at the heart of helping students grow in capability and confidence.
