Supplemental Health Care is partnering with a supportive school district in Morgan Hill, California seeking a dedicated Adaptive Physical Education (APE) Instructor to support students during the 2026-2027 school year . This full-time contract opportunity is ideal for an educator passionate about helping students with diverse learning and physical needs participate successfully in physical education programs.
Job Details Pay:
$53 - $57 per hour
Schedule:
Full-time for the 2026-2027 school year
Hours:
Up to 40 hours per week
Daily Schedule:
Approximately 7.5 hours per day, including a 30-minute lunch period Responsibilities Conduct assessments to determine students' physical education needs and abilities Develop and contribute to Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) Provide modified and adaptive physical education instruction for students with disabilities Design activities that promote physical development, motor skills, and participation Collaborate with special education staff, physical education teachers, therapists, and school teams Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports Support compliance with federal, state, and district special education requirements Required Qualifications Valid Single Subject Teaching Credential in Physical Education Valid Adapted Physical Education Specialist Credential Experience working with students receiving special education services preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to develop individualized instructional strategies that meet student needs Why SHC Education?
