Position:
The CREC Academy of International Studies Elementary School is seeking an energetic, dedicated, and certified Long-Term Substitute Physical Education Teacher to join our team for the Spring 2026 semester. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where students from Pre-K to Grade 5 can develop physical literacy, teamwork skills, and a lifelong love for movement. As an International Studies school, we value educators who can foster global perspectives and cooperation through sport and activity.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate Physical Education lessons for students in grades PK-5. Maintain a safe learning environment and manage classroom behavior effectively. Adapt instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Collaborate with school staff to support the school's mission and student success. Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance.
Qualifications:
Certification:
Applicants must hold or be eligible to apply for a Connecticut State Certification endorsed for Physical Education (044). Experience working with elementary-aged students is preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills.
