Job Summary:
Providence Christian Preparatory School is seeking a passionate, energetic, and Christ-centered Physical Education Teacher to provide engaging instruction for students in Kindergarten through Grade 12. The successful candidate will promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility while integrating biblical principles into all aspects of instruction. This individual will create a positive learning environment that supports the physical, social, emotional, and spiritual development of students and encourages lifelong wellness habits. The ideal candidate is committed to Christian education, student achievement, character development, and fostering a culture of respect, discipline, perseverance, and servant leadership.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health Education, Education, or a related field. Experience working with children in an educational, athletic, coaching, or recreational setting. Strong classroom and behavior management skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency with educational technology and digital communication platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
Florida Teaching Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in Physical Education (K-12). Previous K-12 Physical Education teaching experience. Coaching experience in school athletics. Experience in a Christian school environment. CPR, First Aid, and AED Certification. Serve as a positive role model who promotes spiritual growth, healthy living, and academic excellence. Foster a Christ-centered environment that encourages respect, integrity, teamwork, and personal responsibility.
Essential Requirements:
Level II background screening clearance oAbility to speak for long periods of time Possess a strong passion for working with children. oMust be reliable and able to maintain acceptable attendance. Must be coachable and willing to grow professionally oMust be an active team player. Creative problem-solving skills. Applicants must have the ability to participate in tasks that require moderate physical effort in light work, typically involving some combination of stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (12-20 pounds). Hours of work may vary. Typical schedules are set between the hours of 7:30 am and 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
