Key Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Physical Education or closely related discipline Current Massachusetts Physical Education teaching license (Initial level required) Massachusetts License in Moderate or Severe Special Needs Background in APE or special education (either through experience or relevant coursework strongly preferred) Ability to adapt curriculum for a broad range of ability levels Passion for fostering a supportive and engaging environment for students with varying needs

Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality adapted physical education lessons to K-12 students Assess students individual needs and develop personalized activity plans Work collaboratively with general and special education staff to modify activities for inclusive participation Monitor progress, document outcomes, and communicate regularly with families and school teams Maintain an encouraging, positive, and responsive classroom climate Ensure compliance with individual education plans (IEPs) and district/state guidelines
